Hard truth: We have as much of God as we want.  No one else limits our access to God — only ourselves. For this reason, Peter admonishes us to “make every effort” to apply God’s promises to our lives so that we can experience His power and discover His will.  But if we want to do this, we must be ready to battle against our feelings when we don’t want to pursue this spiritual discipline.  Thank you to Melissa Whitt for her excellent testimony illustrating this reality.
